Meet Mr. Garbett!




About Me



Mr. Mark Garbett, Jr. has been teaching for thirteen years.  He grew up in Brown County, Ohio, home to Ulysses S. Grant, John Parker, and John Rankin.  He earned his Associate of Arts Summa Cum Laude from Southern State Community College.  Transferring to Northern Kentucky University, he attained his Bachelor of Arts Degree Summa Cum Laude in Social Studies, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta International History Honor Society.  He was honored to have two articles published in NKU's historical journal, Perspectives in History.  Mr. Garbett has also earned his certification as an Intervention Specialist, grades K-12, Mild to Moderate Disabilities, from the University of Cincinnati.  He also has his Reading endorsement.  He has taken additional coursework from the University of Dayton, the University of California Los Angeles, Walsh University, and the Canter Institute. 

Mr. Garbett enjoys collecting sports memorabilia, comic books, and historical artifacts.  He is a fan of Science Fiction and classic television from the 60s to the 80s.  Of all the historical sites he has been to, Gettysburg, Graceland, and the US Air Force Museum are his favorites.  He is also an avid hockey fan and former recreational hockey goalie.
